Wega JPS 351

Unlike the Wega Modul 42 series which was made of original designs (Modul ADC-2), Sony parts within original designs (Modul 42T tuner or Modul 42V amplifier) or Sony rebadges (Modul 42P turntable, aka PS-X6), the JPS 351 Series was in all a pure set of Sony rebadges - except the looks and dedicated racks.

The Sony proximity is even present in the astounding multiplication of versions, color schemes and combinations !
To sum this up, JPS 351 is the generic tag for the series within which each component has its own name.

Scripting color varies according to combination : red or black & grey. And this includes meters & scales scripting !
The racks were available in bright red, natural or black on casters, all three with metal front in (simulated) 19" EIA rack looks.

That should have been enough to grab every potential customer - and also to completely confuse said customer along the way.
However, none of the following components are rare for Wega (and therefore Sony) sold many of them... in Germany.

A later version was assembled under the JPS 351 SIGMA name : it is a THETA upgraded with a T-4 tuner.

The "all-in-one power on" unit of the Theta and Alpha have a front switch, the others have a back switch ; it is these units which bear the name of the assembly : Alpha, Gamma, Delta, Theta, Sigma or Lambda.
