1984...2015

It took me a while, even a website and a trillion hours to find what I wanted :
first system 1984, second one in 1994-98, third in 2014 - and now I am done.

I have alternates of course (CD-95, B-3, TA-N7B, all the pre-Esprit, TA-AX7, A-X9 and a few others) but this set works and sounds heavenly on the
APM-77W which are incidentally the one object that caught my teenage eye in 1982 and attracted me to Sony. I also managed to keep some cute
collectibles like the Pioneer P-D1, Yam' CD-1, Victor XL-V1, PS-F9, PS-Q7s etc but almost all of the surplus is now gone - and I don't miss it a bit.

I thank here the few who did actively and tangibly help throughout the years in finding, buying and repairing all this, sometimes even
giving gear away.

For the others... so long.

You mean you play a Leonard Cohen song like...So long Marianne, isn't it?

Ah, to be able to say that.... I'm not even close, and fear I have it far worse than you (in terms of desire...).

Anyway, if you can truly say you're happy then that is a very fine thing - felicitations!

I don't believe I've ever seen any actual photos of your equipment or systems though, apart from the snippet above... is there any chance we will be treated? :)

2016 :

This should last until about 2036.

Maybe even 2046 (I have a spare NOS KSS-190A for the CDP-R1).

Make that 2056 (and a spare DTC-2000ES).

By which time I'll be 88.

Ah - it'll probably outlive me.

Beautiful picture of a great setup. I just love that ST-J55 and TA-F55 set in their TAC-70 cabinets, looks so right and blends right in with the other gear.

I miss the days of TVK updates, always something interesting to look forward to back then.
