Sony PS-X9 photos

Postby Rare_Hifi » Mon Nov 22, 2010 10:13 am

Hey

Here are some photos of the Sony PS-X9 turntables I have sold in the last 6 years. I maybe find one per year...right now I have the 5th arriving in that time! Very exciting.

Here are some photos. The best example I managed to find was a virtually unused example with original packaging!

Along with the Pioneer P3, I think this is one of the best Japanese turntables as an all purpose machine.

It's a bit like asking a woman for her age, but...

What do you pay for such a turntable, if I may ask?

You can pick a used one (no original packing and the X-55Pro missing or knackered) up for less than £2,000 in Japan. Shipping about £400 and then VAT at 19%.......but when they get Europe........treble that figure!
Very nice profit in it....!!!

Rare_hifi,
I have had several PS-X9s through over the years (probably 5 as well).
That is the first time I have seen an original box and the glass plate. And the second time I have seen the remote - they are quite rare.
I did not know there was a glass plate with it. Is it meant to be a dustcover for the platter if you leave the regular dustcover off?
