The Yamaha NS-1000, 1000X and 2000

Postby Rare_Hifi » Tue Nov 02, 2010 7:33 am

Here is a trio of Yamaha speakers. I imported quite a few pairs into Europe.

These photos were taken around 8 years ago when I lived in the UK. I used some designed Magis dining chairs to support the Yamaha NS-2000 speakers and powered them with the Accuphase M-1000 monos.

If anyone is interested I can upload more pics. I also have some of the service manuals and brochures.

At the moment I am just negotiated with an old client to sell his Yamaha NSX-10000 speakers on matching stands.

Beautiful Ritchie! Two of my favorites, Accuphase and Yamaha Be speakers!! I'd love to get my grubby hands on a pair of M-1000's and NS-2000's but I will have to settle for my humble Kenwood L-09M's. At least the two company's share a common lineage.

I know a couple who use a pair of NS-1000, on there side, in the kitchen as radio speakers. The source is an all-in-one job (tape, radio TT) from the 70s!!!
It is remarkable.

In Japan, prices are approximately as follows (in K YEN ie 50 K = 50,000 Japanese YEN):
NS-1000M 50~60 K
NS-1000X 80~100 K
NS-1000XW 120 K
NS-2000 150~250 K (!)
NS-10000 whatever the seller wants to charge...
