Part of the magnificent Toshiba System 15.

The SY-M15 is a DC preamplifier set in a three-piece diecast aluminium enclosure - it also is pretty as can be.

EQ Direct and pre-out switches, toroidal transformer, high-Gain 2SK146 Dual-FETs, high-tolerance phono stage, low-impedance outputs and gold-plated connectors - audiophile goodies.
Trafo windings separately feed the audio stages and the switching/display (LEDs) part - audiophile attentions.

Mostly, an exceptional design, as simple as efficient and striking, which shines however better in its original champagne color than in its later black mode.

Available under the normal Aurex name in Japan, Toshiba elsewhere but there seems to have been "Aurex" export versions as well.

I want I want I want.
