Last "affordable high-end" pre-amplifier for Technics before the battery-operated and ultimate SU-C7000.
Nothing completely new here, just the penultimate formula refinement which started out with the... not so successful SU-A4. Not so successful because Technics preamps didn't sell nearly as well as the brand's power amplifiers...
Even if separated from the ground up from the audio section, putting video circuits in a dedicated high-end stereo preamplifier never was a good marketing point... But so was the trend and so still is the trend.
This addition was however made in composite signal, not S-Video - a strange economy at 200,000¥ !
Still a Class AA with Active Servo Power Supply circuit, voltage/loads stabilizers, low-noise/high slew rate Dual-FETs for the EQ, and a gold-plated 4-gang attenuator split into two gangs at input, two at output for a better low-level S/N ratio (and listening).
