Sony PS-X555ES

The only ES turntable, available for almost ten years... only to see the demise of the LP standard.

Gone with it would be Sony's extensive and expensive efforts on Biotracer tonearms which, market-wise, never really made the grade - even if the original PS-B80 sold in fact quite well.

The PS-X555ES used a tangential version, rather different from the 1978 design (not as much [electronically] Q-damped), and slightly different as well from the one used in the 1981 PS-X800 which cost twice as much.

Available worldwide in black and with the same name, but in some markets with a most welcome and most becoming wood frame circling the front and sides.
