Later siblings of the many version of the PS-X70 series.

The PUA-7 is so modified it only looks like a PUA-7...
But the motor and base are of the same kind : SBMC structure, BSL motor and Magnedisc Quartz Lock.

The X40 has an automatic disc-size selector, a "repeat" button, a cast zinc alloy armbase, J-shaped aluminium tonearm, quick-stop electromagnetic braking, diecast aluminium platter, feather-touch controls (but for the tonearm cueing), spare headshell holder, viscous damping feet.

Specs-wise, the X40 is equivalent to a PS-X7, while the PS-X30 is closer to the little PS-X2.

Good all-around and very reliable vinyl spinners with something added to the earlier PS-X70, X60 & X50 : a nice, silky, work on color and textures.
