All-in-one systems for the japanese market.
For the price of a Concert system, one could buy a TA-8650 V-FET integrated or... half of a TC-880-2.

Sony started with big all-in-ones in 1967/68 (HP series and siblings), then came the set formula : full-size systems made of separates and sold with attendent speakers and racks.
And many of them got made :

the original Listen sets (1972),
the Concert (1975),
the Airport (HMK series)
the Falcon series (1978),
then the original Session (1979),
and New-York (1979),
Sound Sensor (1979),
the Liberty (1981, aka Prodigy),
the Manhattan (1981),
the super cute Heli (1982),
the Liberty Star (1984),
the Liberty Club (1985),
the first Pixy (1989),
the Stanz (1991),
the Bard (1991),
the Pixy Pro (1992, electrostatic speakers !),
the Pixy Pro ESPRIT (1993, bis repetita).

Not to forget the related but somewhat different due to more expensive pricetags and sonic ambitions :
the Precise P7 (1978),
the Scenario (aka "S7", 1989),
the Placido (1991) and
the 3000 and 5000 series (1996).

Bringing all of these systems online on TVK would be very interesting as they'd show the evolution of the audio market at large far more finely than any "real & serious" audio separates could.
I have all to do so but it is terribly time-consuming - I will therefore bring _some_ online.

Back to the Concert -

The Concert 1 basically consists of the TA-1630 amplifier, ST-1950 tuner, PS-1350 turntable, SS-1250 'speakers and SU-1700N rack for a total of 159,400¥.

Optionally, the TC-2310 recorder, ST-30 TV-sound tuner, PT-24 timer and DR-35 headphones could be added for a grand total of 244,900¥.

Pricey. But handsome. But pricey. But handsome. But pricey - which is why the Concert systems didn't sell too well, even if the separates, separately, did sell.
The same combinations of components were used for the Listen 1000 and Listen 2000 systems with cheaper - but optional - racks.

Even if Victor made the ultimate all-in-one systems and designed magnificent racks for them, comparing the size and design of the Concert furniture with their 1980s equivalents I find to be quite depressing.
