Refining the formula - the excellent formula !

Same bomb-proof quality as the previous versions, but with different DACs : the CDP-X77ES mainly is a "PULSE" version of the CDP-X7ESD.

Like all of Sony's "X7", the X77ES became a bestseller, too : it probably is the most common of the series, worldwide, with the CDP-X7ESD.

The drive section is arguably one of the best ever, but the DAC section of the X77ES shows a little of its age - the CDP-X777ES follower came as an clear improvement in almost all areas but this was already quite good.
