Revox B795

1 9 7 9 1979
1 9 8 4 1984

The B795 is a smaller B790 (no pitch control and smaller motor) but the Linatrack tonearm and chassis are the same.

The new motor is based on a 200-pole tacho wheel allowing precise comparison between a quartz reference frequency.
The result was better S/N ratio (2dB) but a bit weaker a drive...

The platter of the B790 original was upped from 1,1kg to 2,1kg in the B795.

Despite being the small one, the B795 was to be revamped as B791 in 1982, the 791 being remembered as... the big one :)
