The PCP is the digital-to-analogue version of the PCD.
The main ICs are an NPC SM5813APT (8x digital filter), a Yamaha YM3623B and fast AD845 Analog Devices op'amps for the analogue outputs. The PCP works sans noise-shaping.
There are two versions of the PCP :
The first version of it had same outputs as the PCD, three 75 Ohm coaxial digital inputs, an AES/EBU digital input and a coaxial digital output ; the second version replaced one coax input with a TOS plastic optical and another with an ST glass-fiber optical.
The coaxial output was also finetuned along the way with a high-frequency filter and mostly its output level boosted to 5V.
Analogue outputs are very low at 1 Ohm impedance.
Replaced by the PDP 3 in 1992.
The owner's manual of the PDP 3 can still be downloaded off Madrigal's (dead) website.
