Middle-of-the-road integrated amplifier from the early-to-mid-1970s, with all the necessary functions of the day : dubbing, low and high filters, frequency shifts for the NF-type bass and treble controls etc.
Also a fair leap upward in the specified specifications when compared to the earlier A-7050.
Healthiness inside gives full DC, pure complementary SEPP output, differential amplifier circuitry, a fair phono overload capacity, flat frequency response, 3-step phono input gain switch (-6dB / 0dB / +6dB) to fit most MM cartridges' output levels, ASO protection circuits which prevent blowing one of the two bipolar output transistors and pre/main loop to either use the A-7055 as power amp, as preamp, as both - or go 4-channel !
As the literature says : "Hearing is believing".
So the A-7055 and siblings were auditioned by musical experts, critics and amateurs (aren't we all ?) to refine the final circuit designs.
