The A-7050 : It Only Sounds Expensive
Earlier sibling to the A-7055, the A-7050 (Integra A-550 in Japan) is an inexpensive but carefully designed amp which not only allows 2x 15W of OCL power with the help of IC-based power stages but also, mainly, allows you to enjoy 4-channel surround sound with its Matrix 4CH mode : just plug a second pair of loudspeakers, set to Matrix 4CH and "let the realism of surround sound engulf you" !
For the more technically inclined, however, here are a few technical features :
• 0,05% THD !
• NFB tone controls
• 1-direction tape dubbing
• MIC input with mixing knob
• Loudness, high and low filter switches
• Muting button.
And, finally, visual appeal : the A-7050 is "an amplifier you will be proud to own even when it is off".
Come to think of it, the latter feature is a very rare thing these days.
