Micro Seiki DDL-120

Physically beefed up version of the DQ-50 but keeping the same motor, the shaft of which rests however on a ceramic patch (instead of the DQ-50's teflon).

Larger & heavier zinc alloy platter as well (instead of the DQ-50's diecast aluminium).

Compared to the DD-100 or DDL-150, the DDL/DQL-120 has only one 2,5kg lead plate sandwiched between two slabs of MDF.

The DDL-120 is the japanese domestic name, DQL-120 the export name ; the latter saw darker rosewood veneer replacing the warmer original but both were always sold sans tonearm.
The DQL is a very rare item.
