Micro Seiki CD-M1

1 9 8 4 1984

The CD-M1 is an export-only Kyocera DA-01 OEM, also available depending on market and distributor as Akai CD-D1, Tensai TAD-2000, Rotel RCD870 and Phase Linear Model 9500.

As far as first generation CD players go, this one is exceedingly rare.

Micro, by nature, didn't really fancy the new format and, when it really went for some high-end CD player of its own based them on Philips bases, those which Marantz used for the CD-94 and CD-94 Limited.

But in '83 Micro was taken by speed and had to have a CD player quickly available - beginning of the end.
