Luxman PD-375

1 9 8 2 1982
1 9 8 4 1984

Last attempt at keeping a foot into the mid-to-high end turntable market, echoed in the LuxKit lineup by the equivalent but less shiny-pretty A521.

Contemporary of the more successful and belt-driven PD-300 and later PD-310 and PD-350 versions, but making things easier by including the Vacuum Disc Stabilizer system into the main enclosure.

Also making it almost maintenance-free : the PD-375 is a direct drive system ! And its Micro Seiki-sourced tonearm works in fully automatic fashion !

However... do people interested in automatic turntables care for VDS systems ? No.

And would people interested in VDS systems care for a fixed-tonearm, fully automatic record player ? No.

CQFD.
