Ultimate 150,000¥ Japan-only updated version of the L-570X's version of the L-570 bestseller.
The upgrades continued on the same route : more dynamic power-supply, better circuit design to avoid taming dynamics and phase shifts. In other words, making the L-570 sound more like a (much bettered) L-540.
So, on top of what was added to the L-570X's : partly redesigned circuit boards, gold-plated & nitrogen-filled sealed relays, reinforced chassis and preamp power-supply, pure copper Heat-Pipe fins and 6N (99,9999%) pure copper wiring throughout, bus bars included.
The rest is entirely the same as the L-570X's - attenuator, Heat-Pipe, five-point FRP base and even specifications.
Visually, the Z's is also entirely identical to the original L-570 / L-570X's but for the color of the "monitor" switch which was changed to red (last call to be reminded of the L-550 origins).
Despite its very steep price, the Z's version sold rather well, even if half of audiophilia planet already had an L-570 : japanese audiophiles in late 1992 were still willing to go the full-tilt 500,000¥ boogie.
There was however no fourth version and the next step was the "cheaper" L-580 (cheaper at 380,000¥ that is !) which ushered the AZDEN period of Luxman and the goodbye of Alpine.
Nudies of a real 570Z's here and a great image of a Z's supporting a very relaxed guest here.
