Luxman L-116A

1 9 8 1 1981

Rare integrated amplifier which seems to have been available only in select markets.

Like the R-5045 or R-5030, the L-116A was produced two years before Luxman went on a trip to the Alps. Also in the lineup were the L-114 and the much beefier L-120A.

Duo-ßeta, high fT / low Cob (collector output capacity) power transistors and tone controls that are incorporated into the power amp circuitry for a step closer to the "straight wire with gain" thing...

Mostly, the L-116A has discreetely dazzling looks which, fit in a wood-enclosure like that of the C-120A, would make this simple amplifier quite a classy companion.
