Kenwood KW-5066

Circa
1 9 7 0 c.1970

Early 1970s 10kg reel-to-reel recorder of the "Super Recording" kind.

Two motors, four-digit "digital" counter, four ferrite-core micro-gap heads, big two-color VUs, independent rec & play & input & output levels, sound-on-sound with echo, full-track erase mode and independent L and R bias adjust with test signal generator, the latter feature being the "Super Recording".

Just as for Sansui, I still have absolutely no idea who actually built the KW reel-to-reel recorders for Kenwood, whether small (KW-5066) or big as the KW-8077.
