Early 1970s low-end combo with the KT-2001 - high-fidelity for the impoverished students with a rising beer budget.
Cheap to buy with all but the essential features removed but an ok trafo and two pairs of bipolar transistors to produce simple, straight, 1970s WATTS.
Weighing 4,8kg, the KA-2002 was no Supreme 1 nor a KA-7002 but one could improve it by using the only high-end feature available :
the pre-out / main-in terminals which allowed to upgrade one part of the KA-2002 with a better, bigger, beefier power amp - more Watts, less beer.
Slightly upgraded as KA-2002A in 1972 : more power, slightly better specifications within the same layout but a less angular design, warmer aluminium anodizing and added sideburns.
Exams passed, successfully : no more beer.
