Less endowed sibling of the VN-900 : no pink noise generator, no 3-position phono load trim, 5-way SEA equalizer instead of seven-way.
Same specifications otherwise, including the 450Khz frequency response and 4-gang attenuator.
According to the november 1975 USA catalog I have, the VN-700 is more powerful than the VN-900 although 10,000¥ cheaper and sucking more AC current... There must be a misprint somewhere.
Whatever - simple, healthy, shiny hi-fi of the long-lasting kind.
