"Look at its features and you'll realize JVC has built another winner."

The VL-5 is an old-school tunrtable powered by a 4-pole motor uninfluenced by AC fluctuations. Its drive system is belt.

The VL-5 has a tubular S-shaped tonearm with oil-damped cueing, gimbal mounting, anti-skating device, auto-up and low-capacitance wiring.

The VL-5 is fitted with a 2-channel DT-33S cartridge but, and this is where old-school ends, it can be upgraded to 4DT-10X stylus which allows frequency response to skyrocket at 60Khz.

60Khz - not even my DAS-R1 does that !

Of course, with 0,1% of speed accuracy, frequent phase shifts are to be expected...
