JVC QL-A75

Sort of attached to the three L10 units was the QL-A75 - outside Japan that is : there were bigger ones there, even if no dedicated L10 LP player was produced.
Those who bought an L10 combo would either get a QL-A95 or, more likely, any of the TT drives (TT-101, TT-81, TT-71 or TT-801).

The QL-A75 was a mid-end model (Victor-wise) centered on that early 1980s trend : Dynamic Q-damping.
Still, two arm wands were available and the Q-damping system worked well, along a special cabinet made of slabs of high-density wood.

Interesting slant : the tonearm and the platter assembly are coupled together to resonate (if they ever do) in unison. Special feet and rubber-clad springs further isolate the base and platter respectively for even less resonances.

But if an IC goes bad... I know of a mechanically mint QL-A75 that's been sitting in a repair shop for a long time : that long-since unavailable burnt out IC makes it completely unrepairable :(
