JVC QL-10

The QL-10 is a TT-101 drive with a Victor-made base and Victor's own UA-7045 tonearm.

The Double Bi-Directional Servo, as its name suggests, adds to a conventional FG Servo a second quartz-lock servo section loop outside of the drive itself.

The motor itself is a coreless DC with 180 slots where the servo is applied on both positive and negative areas to avoid speed overshooting when started or when correcting speed.

The base seen here from US and DE catalogs is the big and 3,3kg heavy CL-P1 Victor wood veneered plinth.
Victor's CL-P bases are made of four layers of high-density particle boards and three layers of special inorganic material.

If both elements were available separately in Japan, the integrated QL-10 was an export-only item.
