Update to the august 1968 MCA-104, from the series that looks very much like the contemporary Sansui but isn't - even if I've spotted a few Sansui amps with an NDS T-tag which I've also seen at the back of several JVC/Victor Japan-only components of the same timeframe...
The original 104 had round slider pots, plain silver main knobs and a poorer s/n artio by 5dB. Also less power, therefore no "100W" badge - audio life was moderate in 1968.
Besides the visible S.E.A. equalizer, a 3-stage eq amp with RIAA and NAB curves is DC-coupled to the final SEPP stage - audio life was simple in 1970.
Also in the series :
MCA-105 (more powerful, with 7-band SEA), MCT-105 (tuner), CF-105 (2-way filter), MCM-105 (power-amp), MCP-105 (preamp), all released 1968-1970, all very well designed, pretty in black, but some only in Japan.
The 104Z was launched in Europe in march 1971 and almost at the same time in the US.
