A bit like the 1970s Volkswagen slogan :

Non-magnetic diecast aluminium base, beefy toroid supply and caps, short signal paths and, let's face it, somewhat boring shoebox looks.
This assumed starkness, however, vanishes when playing music and with the optional PSX external power-supply... However, this is to be teamed carefully.
