FX-3
(1979 - 1983)
If
you're an NS-1000
afficionado, you'd like the FX-3 -
same Beryllium mid and high domes! However, the FX-3
was explicitly made for the studio so they really need room
to let the 36cm breath properly.
The earlier FX-1 seems to have had
much more press coverage and the FX-3
is a very rare item, unfortunately.
I had the chance to listen to a pair, once, c. 1983 and the souvenir
is as vivid as when I first heard the NS-1000
a few years later - even better than the latter. In other words:
perfect.
