The original and very VCC video recorder - arguably the best of the three contenders.

The new format must have caught one marketing executive by surprise because the VCR logo looks close to the old SVR one. And although VCC is the format's name, it is written VCR all over (Video Cassette Recorder). Furthermore, VCC (Video Compact Cassette) is much more generally known as V2000, aka Video 2000... or how to properly and effectively confuse the potential consumer!
The VR2020 was (is) a huge machine in many ways much more advanced than the contemporary VHS and Beta decks but market-share always remaind marginal. Pity.
