Philips GA312
(1970s)

A bit of the old world and a bit of the new.

Suspended free-floating sub-chassis holds a DC motor combined with a "computer" regulated 72-pole tacho generator.
The platter is isolated from motor vibration by a precision ground polyurethane belt.
The tonearm's counterweight is elastically decoupled to balance the cartridge weight in all planes.
Electronic start/stop controls for a glimpse of etheral silence.
Electronic pitch controls, separately for the 33 1/3rpm and 45rpm.
Anti-skating setting, electronic photocell automatic stop and tonearm auto end lift.
