Pickering FA 330A

Not on the size of a Micro SX-111FV, but the platter of the FA 330A floats on air just the same.
GYROPOISE works through magnetic suspension : the two big magnets outlined in red below actually separate the platter from its support - even if the shaft still links them :)
The rest is a bit more like a Thorens : belt-drive, three-point spring support and aluminium diecast platter. But to continue on unsuspected singularities, the tonearm is an UNIPOISE single-point support !
The FA 330A is the automatic version (stop and lift-off), the FA 330M the manual version.
