Technics was launched by Matsushita's consumer brand Panasonic in late 1965.
Early units were tagged "Technics, by Panasonic". Led by the instant success of the SL-1200 and SP-10 turntables (and their successive versions), Technics became market-wise very successful and remained a high-end audio outlet for Matsushita's research until the early 1990s. The later part of that decade was neither glorious nor successful and Technics began its slide into slow death.
Technics was buried by Matsushita fourty years after its inception, on december 28, 2005 ; only the famed SL-1200 series remains visible with a Technics tag - all the rest is gone.

However, it seems the Panasonic Technical pages are still online !
