Sony TA-1130
(september 1970 - 1975)

Successor and less exclusive version of the successful TA-1120A. The 1130 was nevertheless on the higher side of the lineups and, using its pre/main switch, was recommended as the perfect base for multi-amplified systems.

After 37 years of duty, the vast majority of TA-1130s -and there are thousands and thousands of them- are still pumping true Watts. Sane design.

Early catalogs showed the 1130 with the beautiful 1960s
straight round knobs but the production models
all ended up with knurled ones - too bad.
