Sony ES #18
august 2005

ST-S730ES
(1989 - 1991)

Black slim-line digital looks but probably Sony's best tuner of the 1980s and 1990s, along the ST-A7B for the 70s and the original ST-5000 for the 60s. Naturally adorned with Sony's many staple tuner trademarks such as the SST, WOIS, WODD, WODSD etc...

The original japanese model is the ST-S333ESXII (if I'm not mistaken) and appeared, of course, much earlier than 1988. The US market, as usual with Sony, got it much... later.
