1991 The CDP-X779ES saw a change of mechanism, a back switch allowing for the analog output selection (XLR/RCA), and the addition of 8 Pulse converters. Available in black (EU, US) and champagne (EU, JP). The original japanese unit is the CDP-777ES-A (indeed there's no "X"...). Although each X7 player sold extremely well worldwide (bar the USA), the 779 seems to have been the best-seller of the series. |
