Pioneer PL-510
Pioneer PL-117D
(1976 - 1978)

Cute little record players with elegantly grey look-at-me looks.
The PL-510 (left) is a scaled-down PL-530 : same Hall-effect motor but smaller platter, no separate tonearm motor and slightly lesser specifications. The PL-117D (right) is quite different: belt driven with a "double-floating" chassis you can see below.

The 510 is a good mid end record player, the 117D is more of an economic engine. Economy, however, in 1976, came with elegance and reliability - something unheard of since long.
