Marantz Sm-8
(1982 - 1984+)

Part of the 3rd batch of ESOTECs... naturally not named as such anymore... and introduced a bit after the Pm-6a.
The Quarter A was a novelty to try and have the best both worlds while the Heat Pipe cooling system was a way of making it a little lighter to build.

The Quarter A scheme steps in after the first 60W (2x30W) which are thus in Class A.
An amplifier which sold very well and often used as part of multi-amped systems.

The wood enclosure was Japan-only, unfortunately but previsibly.
