Marantz Sc-8
(1982 - 1984+)

The "little" preamp.
Very discrete design, less exuberant than the previous ESOTEC ; given its late introduction in the series, the Sc-8 never was tagged with the ESOTEC logo.

A simpler design inside, too, even so many functions then still meant... a lot of cables around.
Phono input 1 is for MM or MC, phono 2 for regular MM. The AUX input is labelled.. TV/Aux :-)
As often, the wood enclosure was Japan-only.
