MA-6
(1984 - 1986)
Rare
update to the Ma-5 monoblock, introduced
in Japan along the Sc-11
& Sm-11, CD-84
or PM-84 units.
Specs for the Ma-5
and MA-6 are equivalent, though, just
as the Class A or AB operation possibility.
Differences lie in the chassis (copper all over), and the possibility
to use an MA-6 monoblock as
a BTL unit - one MA-6 for each side
of the signal phase! The CC/DC input possibility and the GND terminal
of the Ma-5 were scrapped, while the
flashy LEDS gave way to a cooler encased red LED lighting the front
description from above.
The output devices probably changed as well...
It seems the MA-6 wasn't sold in the
US but it seems the MA-7 was ; both
of them seem fairly identical although there
seems to be some differences between the two. "Seems"
is the word.
The MA-6/MA-7 were later replaced by the x-rare MA-7A,
part of the more clearly affirmed Music
Link series. But just as rare.
