Luxman R-1050
Luxman R-1040
(1977 - 1980)

Luxurious looks, a 4-gang tuner and Dual-Gate MOS-FETs, DC-coupled amp with dual-rail power supply, output muting circuit, NF type tone controls, linear phase ceramic and block filters, PLL MPX, constant voltage supply, a few "eye-catching" LEDs, and... DOLBY FM !
Ah, well, optional at any rate.

The smaller R-1040 did away with a little power, the center-tuning display, tape-dubbing facility and the Dolby FM option.

Both were very good looking in their genuine wood enclosure - Luxman elegance, even in mid-end audio toolboxes.
