The original Luxman big turntable which would give way to the later and much bigger (and very different) PD-555 - unlike the latter, the PD-444 is a direct-drive!

Not as rare as the 555 but pretty hard to come by, let alone find original arm-boards or any other spare parts, but both sported magnificent and glorious understated looks and are still quite desirable.

The PD-441 is a single-tonearm version fit in an equivalent enclosure but within "regular" dimensions.
