days - when the D.A.D. input still was relegated to being an auxilliary
and when Alpine was designing for LUX
an unfortunately not released D.A.D. (sorry: CD-) player: the X-1D.
Still healthy gear, looks-wise still ok, with a set of switches
inherited from the previous L-1/2/3/4 lineup (really: much earlier
than that but this is for a future Luxman post). Duo-ß,
a 300VA transformer and LUX's effective
NF tone controls - a good all-around
performer to try and hang on to the mid-line market.
The L-430 and L-410
were from the "Status Series"in
Australia and made to accompany the T-230
tuner.
But this australian Status Series was the "Revolver
Series" in Japan, the "Laboratory
Standard Series" in Germany and... probably something
else elsewhere - typical Luxman :)
