Luxman
C-120A
Luxman M-120A
(1981
- 1984)
Smaller
siblings of the C-300
and M-300.
Much smaller - in fact these can be seen as preview of what the
later M-02 and
C-02 would be,
with the M-05
and C-05 continuing
where the C-300
and M-300
left
off, Class-A, pricetag 'n all.
As a result, the C-120 and M-120
sold very well, although rarely with the optional wood enclosures
which gave a somewhat less cold appearance...
Both were originally available with shiny knobs (à la L-48/58/68)
but the later mkII "matte knobs"
versions, shown here, are by far the most common.
The cutout for the LEDs on the M-120A mkII
was painted in black through its entire length for the second
version.
However, specs-wise, I haven't found any differences between the
two versions... And in true Luxman fashion, there must be three
or four other versions depending on market and/or vintage.
