Kenwood
Supreme 700M
Kenwood Supreme 700C
Kenwood Supreme 700T
(1974
- 1979)
Followers of the original Supreme
1 (1967), the Supremes were Kenwood's first set of separates
and some of the most elegant audio components ever. Drool,
drool more, envy, envy even more... hard to find. As high-end audio
from the early 1970s, preamplifier, amplifier and FM tuner, one
can hardly do better. Even today.
Available
in Japan with wood-enclosures AND under the SUPREME
banner, a tag unseen officially elsewhere.
Only the first few pre-production samples had SUPREME
engraved in top right corner of the front plates : Kenwood, however,
changed its mind for the production Supremes...
The
SUPREME tag may seem like an all too
often used marketing gimmick... But these really were supreme and
in many points, they still are. To name but a few, we're here on
the level of the Yamaha NS-1000,
the Sony TA-N7B,
the Luxman C-5000a
or the Pioneer M-22
: audio pantheon, center stage.
