The top image comes from a 1979 German catalog, with very little specs, unfortunately, but I might be able to source more images and specs soon.

Denon DP-80
(1979 - 1984)

Through Denon's trademark magnetic imprint/reading head system ("Magnedisc" by Sony :), the DP-80 claimed a 99,998% speed accuracy, along with a 75dB s/n ratio.
The DP-80 and its smaller DP-75 sibling would be later on sold as integrated players with a very different base and tonearm (DP-80M, DP-75M).
Then came systems which others had inaugurated earlier (Yamaha, Sony, Pioneer, Diatone etc) using "sensing" arms of sorts, which Denon called Dynamic Servo Tracer...

The DK-300 base shown above is made of thin slabs of wood, treated with a phenolic compound and assembled under high pressure. The DA-401 is of the Dynamic Damping type, with special alloys to keep it stiff but (very) light.
