Micro
Seiki CD-M1
(1984)
The CD-M1
is an export-only Kyocera
DA-01 OEM, also available depending on market and distributor
as
Akai CD-D1,
Tensai TAD-2000,
Rotel RCD870 and
Phase Linear Model 9500.
As
far as first generation CD players go, this one is exceedingly rare.
Micro, by nature, didn't really fancy the new format and, when it
really went for some high-end CD player of its own based them on
Philips bases, those which Marantz
used for the CD-94 and CD-94 Limited.
